The Wind Ensemble hosted an all-day Band-A-Palooza on Saturday, March 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Houston Harte University Center. It featured a day of masterclasses and performances on all band instruments. The Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and individual faculty and students’ performances were also highlighted at this event. Following was also a free public concert in the Brooks & Bates Theatre at the San Angelo Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 24.
Additionally, a performance tour that doubles as a recruitment event began on Monday, March 25 and will last for three days. The Wind Ensemble will be traveling to the high schools of Anson, Burkburnett, Henrietta, Holliday, Knox City, Merkel, Munday and Wichita Falls. This tour will be led by the head band director, Jonathan Alvis.
